Job Title: E & I Engineer, Quality Assurance

Job Description – Provides support to the Project Quality Manager in delivering the project quality management system. 

Reports to the Project Quality Manager and has a reporting line to the Quality Assurance Discipline Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review and support for developing and implementing quality management systems, standards (ISO 9001), and procedures.
  • Conduct internal/external audits and support compliance with quality management systems.
  • Evaluate suppliers, develop and review quality plans, and drive improvements in the supply chain.
  • Preparation of QA/QC inputs to the RFQs and POs
  • Managing the Quality input to pre-PO award bid review and clarification activities.
  • Managing the Quality input to Supplier documentation review activities.
  • Facilitate the completion of criticality ratings
  • Liaison with systems and fabrication quality manager and subcontractors quality
  • Review material requestions for E&I materials, equipment, and site installations (cabling, panels, instruments).
  • Review supplier and subcontractor quality plans, procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for E&I systems.
  • Check and ensure supplier quality requirements for each package / POs is aligned with Criticality Rating Inspection procedures.
  • Review loop checks, continuity, insulation resistance, and calibration tests.
  • Review of the TPI stage inspection and FAT reports.
  • Ensure Inspection Release Note -IRN is released as per project requirements.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, codes (BS, IEC), and quality standards (ISO 9001).
  • Prepare daily/weekly quality reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • When required, Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
  • Review E&I drawings (SLDs, panel layouts, P&IDs).
  • Coordinated with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for inspection scheduling and follow-up on inspection reports.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years Quality Management experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must be proactive and possess good inter personnel skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in English language

Educational experience:

  • Degree educated, preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Professional Accreditation preferred
  • Successful completion of ISO 9001:2015 quality auditor training or transition course, preferred.
