As the QA Lead at Cloudera Taikun, you will lead our quality assurance team, define and implement testing processes, and drive improvements in our test automation capabilities. You will oversee testing of the entire Taikun platform — including deployed Kubernetes clusters, Taikun's APIs, and the user interface — ensuring high reliability and a great user experience. You will work closely with engineering teams to expand and maintain automated testing using Cypress and other relevant technologies.
Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices across the organization.
Oversee and participate in testing of the Taikun platform (UI, APIs, and deployed Kubernetes clusters).
Improve and maintain automated testing frameworks, including Cypress and other tools.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct manual and exploratory testing where automation is not yet in place.
Identify gaps in test coverage and implement strategies to address them.
Drive initiatives to improve overall product quality and reduce defect rates.
Proven experience leading QA teams in a software development environment.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in Linux command-line usage and troubleshooting.
Experience with API testing tools and frameworks.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and hands-on experience with cluster operations.
Experience with other test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium).
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.
Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code platforms (Terraform, Ansible).
