Job Description:

The QA Engineer ensures that Deutsche Bank software products and business applications deliver value to business and customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement the full set of functional testing activities: create, maintain and execute functional tests and E2E testing
  • Providing input to the project plan/release plan, defect/change management processes, systems integration, testing tools and processes;
  • Working with both in-house and vendor testing teams by ensuring clear alignment with the domain based development teams;
  • Identifying areas of weakness to existing procedures, continually implement new procedures, and assess risk of impact from changes to projects;
  • Providing monthly demos to stakeholders with project status and development
  • Collaborating and coordinating test activities with vendor, IT, and business users across countries and time zone;
  • Assisting IT application team in achieving quality product by identifying defects and deficiencies early and providing feedback for continuously improving the development and testing processes.

Skills:

  • 3-4 years experience in software development, testing and support (preferably in Banking – Financial services - Lending)
  • Strong business knowledge with a focus on Lending applications - Facilities/Rating/Covenants processes in Wealth Management divisions
  • Strong Lending knowledge with focus on all lending value chain
  • Ensures that testing activities are being conducted in accordance to the testing strategy and plan
  • Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies, with particular emphasis on Agile methodology;
  • Excellent skills in Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution;
  • Experience with integration & regressions testing and coordination with supporting systems;
  • Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures;
    Hands On Experience with Defect and Test Management Tools: Jira, HP ALM, Bugzilla, Zephyr (or similar) for logging, tracking, and managing defects and similar or organizing and managing test cases and test cycles
  • SQL Knowledge (recommended Fundamental Query + DML): Essential for db testing, data validation, and understanding data flows in the application
  • API Testing Tools: Proficiency in tools like Postman, SoapUI (or similar) for testing APIs (REST, SOAP) + familiarity of API concepts and structures
  • VCS : Familiarity with Git (or similar) for managing test scripts, documentation, and code
  • Knowledge of white/black box level testing, system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools;
  • Experience with defect and change tracking, producing performance metrics
  • Experience with simultaneously testing on multiple environments (DEV/SIT/UAT etc)
