A Day in the Life:  

  • Supports the Purchase Order administrative process for all Nissan Canada Inc. by tracking approved projects, following up with key stakeholders, and monitoring released purchase orders.
  • Runs daily meetings and monitors Purchasing Buyers’ performance.
  • Provides analytical support to the NCI Purchasing team.
  • Acts as an effective liaison between business units and suppliers.
  • Reviews contract terms and conditions, including expiration dates, renewals, and scopes of work (e.g., fee breakdowns and project deliverables).
  • Manages the business process outsourcing (BPO) relationship.
  • Troubleshoots system‑related issues in SAP, Ariba, EBP, and other software applications.
  • Assists in managing sourcing initiatives, including needs analysis, benchmarking, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, purchase order placement, and supplier and pricing analysis.
  • Assists with the preparation of funding requests.
  • Works with Purchasing Buyers to report all cost savings in alignment with the Nissan Purchasing Organization framework.
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of Purchase Order and Shopping Basket training.

Who We’re Looking for:

  • Strong communication, presentation skills with solid business acumen.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to engage and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (VLOOK UP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.)

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a co-op or internship program in finance, procurement, and/or supply chain management.

Hourly Rate Range:
$21.00 - $24.00

Hourly Rate Estimate: This range represents the minimum and maximum hourly rates applicable to interns in this program or role. The hourly rate offered will fall within this range and is determined based on the intern’s academic progress (years completed in school).

All employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screenings in accordance with Nissan policies and as permitted by applicable statutes and regulations.
