The Purchaser Assistant role

The purpose of this role is to support the Supply Chain department in daily purchasing operations by ensuring timely processing of purchase orders, effective coordination with suppliers, and maintenance of accurate and well‑organized data in the SAP system. We are looking for a purchaser assistant who is representing detail orientated approach to work, with a strong focus on data quality and error prevention. Someone who can communicate clearly and is opened to meet the needs and expectations of internal and/or external customers. You’ll fit if you have strong teamwork skills and proactive approach to work.

Key accountabilities

  • Processing purchase orders in SAP
  • Monitoring and confirming orders (order confirmations)
  • Expediting activities – monitoring delivery timelines and following up with suppliers to ensure on‑time deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and well‑organized data in SAP
  • Cooperating with suppliers regarding order execution and delivery status
  • Working closely with engineering, warehouse, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure smooth purchasing processes
  • Supporting the resolution of day‑to‑day operational issues within the Supply Chain area

Skills & experience

  • Practical and theoretical understanding of SAP in a business context.
  • Experience in expediting activities (monitoring deliveries, supplier follow‑up) is a plus
  • Ability to work closely with the procurement team based in the Netherlands, as well as with local engineering, warehouse, logistics, and accounting teams
  • Good command of the English language at B2 level (written and verbal) -you will be working closely with the procurement team based in the Netherlands, as well as with local engineering, warehouse, logistics, and accounting teams
  • Polish language communication proficiency at least C1 is a must.
  • Strong teamwork skills enabling effective cooperation with others to achieve common goals and ensure smooth purchasing processes.
  • A proactive approach to work, including continuous monitoring of order status, early identification of potential risks (e.g. delays), and taking initiative in contacting stakeholders and suggesting improvements in daily operations
