To clean and maintain the standards throughout the public areas of the Resort.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reports for work punctually at scheduled time and in accordance with dress code and appearance standards.
Ensure that all tasks are performed to company standards.
Removes trash, vacuums, dusts and cleans all offices.
Sweeps, mops, and cleans lobby, front desk, and lobby restrooms and maintains throughout the day on a regular basis.
Ensures all supplies are consistently available to guests.
Ensures staff bathrooms are cleaned and properly supplied and maintained throughout the day.
Sweeps, mops, and cleans Clubhouse, Clubhouse dining area, changing facilities, and Clubhouse bathrooms. Ensures all supplies are consistently available to guests.
Cleans public telephone and house-phone areas keeping ample supply of stationary and pens available throughout the day.
Sweeps and mops porch entrance to lobby and staircases to guestrooms and courtyard.
Vacuums all carpet in the public areas.
Cleans windows in public areas.
Dusts and mops marble tiles in public areas.
Cleans exterior of lobby bar and polishes wood and brass.
Ensures that brass is polished regularly in order to retain luster.
Sweeps Courtyard Terrace and walkways. Spot cleans any problem areas as needed.
Ensures that all equipment used by the space cleaner is properly functioning, ensuring that all malfunctions are reported to supervisor in a short period of time.
Attends training when requested during working hours, to ensure proper skills necessary to perform duties.
Has a sound knowledge of all hotel facilities and services.
Maintains a high standard of conduct and good working relationship with all staff and other departments.
Clean all glass candle holders
Clean all metal candle holders on porches
Prepare glass candle holders with tea light candles
Set up glass candles in lobby at 5:30pm
Remove straw balls from candle holders on lobby porches and replace with candles
Light all candles after they have been set up (all candles should be lit by 6pm)
Clean kid’s camp and gym
Remove garbage and towels from gym area
Remove all soiled hand towels from housekeeping and take to laundry at 11:00pm and put to wash (25mins)
Place all clean hand towels in dryer
Extinguish all candles on porches at 12 midnight (wait for 20-30 minutes before removing from sand) and replace with straw ball
Extinguish all candles in lobby (wait 10-20 minutes before removing from glass candle holder) and secure candles in basket
Ensure that all tea light holders are clean before storing away
Secure candle lighter, candle light extinguisher, radio, and keys in lobby storage area.
Performs all reasonable duties requested by management.
General
Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
Ensures the working area is kept clean at all times.
Ensures a complete understanding of, and adhere to the policies within the Employee’s Handbook.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Attends training when requested, to ensure proper skills necessary to perform duties.
Ensures that all equipment are properly functioning within the department, ensuring that all malfunctions are reported to your supervisor in a short period of time.
Attend meetings as requested.
Maintain a sound knowledge of the Company’s facilities and related services.
Adheres to the policies, procedures, condition and regulations as set out in the Company’s Employee Handbook.
Adheres to company’s fire and safety procedures.
