1. Supports the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for physicians and allied health staff.
2. Manages and updates with expirable tracking systems for licenses and other time-sensitive credentials, including monitoring deadlines and facilitating timely renewals.
3. Handles correspondence related to credentialing and expirable and assists with data management.
4. Performs data entry and updates information in credentialling systems and spreadsheets.
5. Conducts routine reviews and audits of credential files.
6. Supports oversight of various tracking spreadsheets such as reappointments, locum tenens provider agreements, medical staff requirements, malpractice documentation, and routine enrollment audits as assigned.
7. Research existing data and credential files to extract relevant information and accurately input into tracking systems and databases.
8. Ability to research and interpret state licensure requirements, including applicable laws, regulations, and renewal timelines, and organize findings into clear reference materials to support ongoing provider compliance and credential maintenance.
9. Prepare reports, meeting materials, and correspondence, ensuring timely and professional communication.
10. Contributes to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
12. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive provider information.
13. Ability to identify basic discrepancies in data.
14. Demonstrates willingness to learn credentialing processes and systems.
15. Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned.
