Job Description:

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Perform detailed analysis of solicitation documents to assess requirements, and build compliance matrices, schedules, and annotated outlines.
  • Interact with capture team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) to guide proposal development efforts through the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
  • Collaborate with graphics and desktop publishing teams to tailor templates for proposal compliance, look and feel, and layout standards.
  • Review proposal drafts and final documents for compliance, responsiveness, thoroughness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Establish a print production schedule and resource plan to ensure required proposal documents are produced properly and delivered on time.
  • Populate and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams libraries.
  • Facilitate proposal kick-off meetings, milestone meetings, color reviews (e.g., pink, red, gold) and recovery periods to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Write non-technical proposal content (e.g., resumes, past performance) and tailors content written by SMEs to develop cohesive, clear, and persuasive submissions.
  • Coordinate coaching activities for the interview/oral phase of pursuits.
  • Research, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources (e.g., SMEs and previous proposals).
  • Ensure dual compliance checks (from operations and proposal organization) are completed and implemented.
  • Contribute to and maintain Salesforce opportunity record (CRM) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform closeout activities, initiate the lessons learned process, and archive files.
  • Provides training and mentorship to proposal coordinators.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for someone with strong, proven skills in the following areas:

  • Strong organizational, planning, time management, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work against strict deadlines
  • Organization, conceptual thinking, and attention to detail
  • Customer service with a “get to yes” approach and mentality
  • Managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple submittals
  • Ability to inspire outstanding work from team members with a range of experience and technical abilities in the development of proposal and task order responses
  • Proficient using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Teams and Salesforce.

What We Need from You (REQUIRED)

  • US citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of managing and writing/editing multi-volume proposals and speed of light task order cycles that have resulted in Federal contract awards with values of more than $50M
  • In-depth understanding of how to develop compelling and compliant Government RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses
  • Capable of facilitating strategy and storyboarding sessions
  • Experience developing proposal responses that include orals slides and video or live presentation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20-30% of the year

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor degree and typically 8+ years of diversified experience, primarily within the business development realm of a large, multinational company. 

Minimum Clearance Desired to Start

  • Top Secret/SCI

This position is part of our Corporate team.

As a Proposal Specialist, you’ll champion the development and delivery of our most strategic proposals and task orders. You’ll be joining the Enterprise Proposal Operations team and work collaboratively with leadership, management, subject matter experts, creatives, and capture teams to win new business. This position will require you to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment and work on multiple assignments in tandem, with overlapping schedules.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Salary Range: $42.50 - $74.38
