Department Overview

In-house Network Promotion Section is responsible for service planning, sales promotion, operation, and improvement, with the mission of growing products centred on the home internet services ‘Rakuten Turbo’ and ‘Rakuten Hikari’ and acquiring more users.

Within this, the Business Planning Group is the organisation that handles product strategy and promotion planning.

Both the home router “Rakuten Turbo” and the fiber-optic service “Rakuten Hikari” leverage Rakuten Group's big data to explore and implement various initiatives.

Furthermore, as a telecommunications provider, we can expand services through enhanced features (such as AI utilization).

Specifically, “Rakuten Turbo” launched in 2023 as a new service utilizing the Rakuten Mobile network. As mobile communication technology advances and network quality improves, it is expanding its market share year by year as next-generation home infrastructure.

Position Details

Our company aims to become the No. 1 mobile company, and you will be responsible for one of the following areas within our key Home Internet Products business:

- Planning service promotions, designing pricing campaigns, and driving sales promotions across online and offline channels.

- As a product planner, leading projects such as developing new service features, releasing next-generation menus, and enhancing the existing customer experience.

Specifically:

- Developing pricing plans and campaigns to promote each product

- Supporting executive decision-making in business operations

- Managing and analyzing various KPIs, formulating and executing corresponding measures

Monthly new subscriber numbers for core services

Churn rates for existing service portfolios with hundreds of thousands of users

- Formulating and executing sales strategies leveraging the strengths of the Rakuten economy

- Data science related to customers, markets, and competitors

- Formulating business requirements specifications for service feature improvements

- Project management for new service/menu releases

- Operational improvements across service management domains

- Planning initiatives to enhance customer support and customer experience

 

Work Environment

- Total staff: 15 members.

The recruiting department has 5 members, with an average age in their 30s.

Many members come from other industries and are actively contributing.

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

Experience in any one of the following

- Work experience at a B2C business

- Sales or support experience, whether for tangible or intangible products

 

Desired Qualifications:

- English proficiency

- Experience in subscription-based business models

- Consulting experience

- Experience in the telecommunications industry

- Management experience
