Key Responsibilities:
WVDF is seeking a qualified Project Officer (PO) to support the implementation of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) development activities in Sasmuan and La Trinidad Municipalities.
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all CBT activities are implemented in accordance with the approved Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and in full compliance with the regulations and requirements of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).
The Project Officer will coordinate closely with the Department of Tourism (DOT), including both central and regional offices, to contribute to the achievement of project indicators agreed upon with the donor. The role also requires active engagement with Barangay Captains, Local Government Units (LGUs), associations, cooperatives, and other community-level stakeholders to support effective implementation, coordination, and sustainability of project activities.
Field Management and Coordination
Provide effective field-level management, coordination, and technical support to ensure project activities and objectives are implemented in accordance with the approved plans and World Vision standards and guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including government partners, associations, cooperatives, civil society organizations (CSOs), and community groups, to enhance project effectiveness and long-term sustainability.
Compliance and Adherence
Ensure strict compliance with World Vision policies and procedures, including safeguarding, data protection and privacy, safety and security requirements, and adherence to the World Vision Code of Conduct.
Faith and Integrity
Demonstrate a Christ-centered work ethic in interactions with children, families, partners, and communities, and uphold high standards of integrity, accountability, and professional conduct in alignment with World Vision’s values.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
Proven performance and demonstrated capacity in field operations and project implementation
Fieldwork experience in Pampanga or Benguet Province is an advantage
Experience in tourism program development, particularly in farm tourism or ecotourism implementation, is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in community development, tourism development, business administration, or a related field relevant to tourism program development
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal and professional relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and CSOs
Demonstrated experience in managing or coordinating technical assistance teams
Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills
