This is a role in our established Project Delivery team, supporting an expanding portfolio of work across BlueCare, UnitingCare Community and UnitingCare Queensland. It’s a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in project management who is ready to take ownership of projects and continue building their experience in a supportive environment.
As an owner-operator, how we connect with our customers and stakeholders is critical to success. In this role, you’ll work closely with operational teams, clinicians, staff and partners to understand their needs and translate them into practical, well-delivered project outcomes.
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of minor to medium-scale capital projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be trusted to run your own projects while still having the backing of an experienced team around you. Your focus will be on safe, high-quality delivery, on time and within budget.
Please note, this position is Full Time Permanent. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Manage the delivery of capital projects, including refurbishments, asset renewals and green-field developments.
Engage closely with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and ensure projects deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes
Apply project management fundamentals across governance, time, cost, scope, quality, reporting and benefits realisation
Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders to support smooth delivery
Identify and manage risks, issues and interdependencies, escalating when needed
Provide clear, practical advice to support decision-making and problem-solving
Monitor and report on key project performance metrics
Live the values and contribute to a positive team culture and support broader portfolio outcomes
What makes a difference for us?
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia
Tertiary qualification in property, construction management, or related field.
Project management competency certification (e.g., PMP, AIPM).
Experience delivering minor to medium capital works projects end-to-end.
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Power BI and MS Project.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of health and safety legislation and commitment to best practice safety culture.
Excellent organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and deliver on time and budget.
Ability to work within a team environment and manage stakeholder expectations
Demonstrated self-discipline through managing competing priorities and delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget
