Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives

Role Summary:


The Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for driving high-impact business projects that align with North America’s strategic priorities. This role will emphasize project management discipline, operational execution, and selective application of continuous improvement practices to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic, cross-functional projects that support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer value creation
  • Develop and manage project charters, roadmaps, and timelines, ensuring disciplined execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment
  • Partner with regional and global leaders to translate business strategy into actionable projects with clear objectives, milestones, and KPI
  • Drive operational execution by coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations to ensure consistent delivery and performance
  • Use project management tools and reporting dashboards to monitor progress, provide visibility to leadership, and ensure accountability
  • Support digital transformation, automation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives within North America operations
  • Apply lean and continuous improvement practices selectively (Kaizen, problem-solving workshops, value stream analysis) to strengthen execution and embed sustainable improvements
  • Build organizational capability by coaching teams in structured project management and operational excellence practices
  • Ensure long-term sustainability of projects by embedding outcomes into processes and sharing best practices across sites.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations
  • 6+ year's of experience in project management and operations, with demonstrated success in leading multi-stakeholder, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ability to execute strategic projects in manufacturing, industrial, or process-oriented environments
  • Exposure to lean/continuous improvement methodologies


Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Strong project management knowledge, including frameworks, tools, and risk management
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive change across matrixed organizations
  • Working knowledge of Lean/CI concepts and ability to apply them pragmatically (not as primary focus)
  • Experience working with multinational/global organizations
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix and cross-cultural environment.
