Job Description

Position Summary:

The Project Manager, Proposals manages the external proposal development process.  This entails working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Shared Services to lead to completion of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), Requests for Information (RFI’s), bid and creating proactive proposals for new business opportunities, as well as provide assistance with presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides project management expertise and acts as the focal point for the District Sales Managers, RVPs, HSE’s, and other team members throughout the duration of the project.
  • Conducts the “first-pass” of each proposal and strives to provide up to 80% of the answers to the questions by researching the appropriate knowledge database, reviewing past proposals, and searching relevant websites.
  • Provides comprehensive writing and editing expertise to ensure accuracy and quality of responses
  • Coaches team members in the proposal process; tracks issues resolutions; communicates customer requirements to field; resolves logistical issues throughout proposal process; analyzes proposal inputs from team to ensure thorough and timely completion of all proposal components.
  • Keeps communication open between all team members via voicemail and e-mail, informs all proposal team members of conference calls, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Maintain repository of company information and capabilities to support proposal responses.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Must have experience with developing and responding to proposals
  • Strong experience in project management and business process deployment & implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and works well under deadlines and time constraints.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio, Project Management software. Seismic proficiency a plus
