We are seeking a Software Project Manager to lead complex software development projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will work closely with the Product Manager to successfully plan, develop, and launch new software products and features on time, within scope, and according to quality standards. The Project Manager drives project success through meticulous planning, coordination, and communication with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Ensure the project scope, goals, and deliverables are clearly defined and all stakeholders are aligned on the business objectives of the project.
Outline and manage project plans and timelines that correspond with the product development roadmaps created by the Product Managers.
Create project plans that provide sufficient time for each phase in the SDLC, while still maintaining a sense of urgency.
Map out NPI and GTM plans in support of Product Managers’ product launch timelines.
Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure compliance needs are factored into product development roadmaps, and drive forward progress for implementation of compliance requirements.
Ensure all projects are delivered on-time and within scope.
Monitor and track project progress and performance using appropriate project management tools.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and timeline and ensure all stakeholders are aware of any changes.
Track milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to avoid delays.
Identify and implement solutions to obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle.
Assemble, lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
Coordinate internal resources, cross-functional teams, and manage external third parties/vendors.
Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and provide regular status updates.
Coordinate stakeholder, marketing, and training efforts to correspond with product launch dates.
Serve as a liaison, communicating information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
Plan and facilitate meetings, ensuring productive dialogue and clear action items.
Report and escalate issues and project risks to management as needed.
Implement agile methodologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
Provide leadership in process analysis and improvement, specifically focusing on change management and integration management.
Ensure software quality standards are adequately planned for.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, records, and reports outlining project timelines, outcomes, and budgets.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements and plan for future fixes.
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically within software development environments.
Proven track record of successfully managing software projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in using project management software, such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or Trello.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
