Project Manager Hematology

Job Purpose:

A Hematology Project Manager will oversee and manage commercial projects, within the Business Unit, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired quality and business objectives.

The Hematology Project Manager will ensure the successful delivery of hematology projects by effectively planning, coordinating with relevant Stakeholders, and managing all aspects of the project, while aligning with the Business Unit’s / organization's strategic goals and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Developing detailed project plans, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensuring effective execution throughout the project lifecycle, while meeting the scope, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Examples of projects to be assigned include (but not limited to) (1) the coordination across Business Units of the hematology activities management monitoring, (2) budget management of the Business Unit (3) the coordination and delivery of congress sponsorships and GSK events.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Customers, Vendors, Assistants, Team members, the Cross-Functional Team, and the Leadership Team, to align project goals, gather requirements, and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Risk Management: Conducting regular management monitoring of the Business Unit commercial activities, supporting audits, and coordinating the commercial activities management monitoring across Business Units. Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Allocating and managing resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring financial targets are met, including profitability and return on investment.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Tracking project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and providing regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project and making informed decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyzing project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement and implementing best practices for future projects.
  • Compliance Assurance: Fully understanding and complying with GSK standards and policies and with local codes of practice, guidelines and laws to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with the strictest requirements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Degree in Management or similar
  • Previous experience working in a commercial area within the pharmaceutical industry.
