The Project Manager will ensure all projects meet agreed standards for cost, quality, safety and compliance, while driving performance through effective resource management, risk control and cross‑functional collaboration. You will be accountable for the successful execution of complex project programmes, working closely with customers, engineering teams, sales, procurement and senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring compliance with governance, SHEQ standards and contract requirements.
Manage resources, schedules, risks and budgets across multiple engineering projects.
Collaborate with sales, customers, engineering and procurement to align project expectations and delivery plans.
Support bid development, proof‑of‑concept designs and commercial forecasting.
Drive continuous improvement and provide leadership, coaching and feedback to project teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ relevant project management experience, with proven experience of delivering defence, oil and gas, healthcare or datacentre type projects.
Background in electric power, oil & gas, defence, healthcare or datacentre construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems or process control equipment.
Experience managing multi disciplined project teams.
Must possess strong leadership skills and be capable of building high performing teams.
Capable of leading projects from engineering concept through detailed design, manufacture/procurement, site installation, commissioning and final handover.
Strong understanding of supply chain management, QA management, CDM and HSE systems.
Experience of working on live construction sites desirable.
Skilled in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
Commercially aware, analytical, customer‑focused and detail‑driven.
Project management qualifications desirable, APM PMQ/PPQ.
Management and Leadership quals.
CSCS desirable.
