This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.
Project manager is a member of the PMO team which is responsible for internal CloudOPS projects management and its execution control.
Typically he/she manages internal projects of a large scale: new infrastructure and application deployments, patching & upgrade process implementation for RingCentral products, new product launches and required support from CloudOPS teams, security processes improvements across RingCentral products etc. Also he/she aims to develop and maintain CloudOPS project management standards, best practices, guidelines and methodology. If necessary, supports and mentors other CloudOPS teams in their project activities.
Responsibilities:
● Define project goals and objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities for project team
● Request resource and negotiate resource availability & allocation
● Outline project budget based on requirements and track costs/spend
● Prepare detailed project plan with key project milestones, workstreams & activities
● Manage project execution and provide regular updates on project status to project team and key stakeholders
● Adjust project goals and plan to address changes in project execution or due to environmental changes within project lifecycle
● Identify and mitigate potential project risks
● Manage the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders to outline project value
● Take part in continuous processes improvement activities within CloudOPS PMO team
● Take part in quarterly resource planning activity within CloudOPS PMO team
Requirements:
● 3+ years of experience in project management/control field or as Operations / SRE team lead
● Basic understanding of computer networks, virtualization/containerization, computer architecture, storage, cloud computing
● English upper-intermediate both spoken and written
● Fluent Russian language both spoken and written
● Good communication skills, ability and desire to speak in public to facilitate discussions
● Capability to make decisions under pressure, good leadership skills, ability and desire to micro-manage tasks if necessary
● Good analytical skills in scope of project management activities (PERT/P50-P80-P90/decision matrix/quality control techniques/EV etc.), solid experience with Google Sheets/Excel
● Ability to compose digestible presentation, report, timeline materials for Director+ level either manually or using AI tools
Nice to have:
● Hands-on experience with infrastructure support either on-premise or in public cloud
● Knowledge of PMI framework/certifications
● Experience with Confluence Jira/Wiki and their plugins, Smartsheet
● Experience with BI tools (PowerBI/Tableau/Looker etc.)
● Experience to build AI agentic workflows to automate tasks
● Basic programming skills to write scripts for data analysis
