Project Management Specialist

The Opportunity:  

As a project management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. 

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of a United States Navy (USN) client. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning, schedule, cost, and overall programmatic support with regular interactions with stakeholders, project officers, and senior leaders.

You Have: 

  • Experience developing and managing integrated schedules, program roadmaps, project planning, and spend plans

  • Experience performing detailed schedule analysis, cost variance reporting, and cost and schedule performance metrics

  • Experience with developing briefings and visual presentations for senior-level military and civilian audiences such as Program Technical Execution Metrics (PTEM), technical milestone reviews, or systems engineering technical reviews (SETR)

  • Experience writing monthly status reports (MSR) to inform key stakeholders of program progress

  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, technical personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and program personnel

  • Knowledge of Department of War (DoW) military-standard (MIL-STD) best practices and procedures

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to solve complex issues

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, OnePager, or other scheduling software

  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) program planning and cost tracking software

  • Experience with supporting research and development (R&D) programs

  • Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
