Job Purpose

The Engineering Project Planner is responsible for managing and controlling project schedules to ensure successful execution of engineering and capital projects. This role supports project managers and engineering stakeholders with planning, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones in line with business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and vendor teams to gather schedule inputs.
  • Project Monitoring & Control: Update schedules regularly based on actual progress and change requests. Prepare and share schedule reports, dashboards, and forecasts with project stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate schedule status, impacts, and recommended actions clearly and concisely. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to align project timelines.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain proper documentation for schedules, baselines, revisions, and project records. Ensure projects follow internal engineering procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements. Support audits, CAPEX planning, and project closure activities.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project planning, engineering coordination, or capital project execution (manufacturing/industrial environment preferred).


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in project planning tools including SAP, Excel, Marine
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows, procurement processes, and construction/installation activities.


Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and organization.High attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
