Project Management M&A Intern

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Project Management Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Intern will support the corporate responsibilities in planning and managing Global Integration Projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the full deal lifecycle, from early research and project planning to integration activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management Support

  • Update project plans, timelines, and task trackers to ensure all stakeholders have accurate and current information.
  • Assist in coordinating project tasks and assignments across multiple teams, including Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations.
  • Help ensure project deliverables are on schedule by following up with team members and maintaining action items lists.

Project Status Reporting

  • Prepare and update weekly project status reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Consolidate updates from cross-functional partners into clear, organized summaries.
  • Highlight risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks to support timely decision-making.

Meeting & Communication Support

  • Attend M&A project meetings and take detailed, well-structured notes.
  • Document discussions, decisions, action items, and owners, and circulate meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials for internal leadership briefings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with teams across the company to gather information, update documents, and ensure accurate communication during the M&A lifecycle.
  • Support integration planning efforts by coordinating tasks across functional workstreams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail and proactive, team-oriented work ethic.
