The opportunity 

In this role, you will work closely with the Self Insurance Portfolio Manager to support the Self Insurance portfolio during its portfolio transition phase. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of client Transition Out activities, working closely with claims teams to ensure QBE consistently meets all obligations throughout the transition period.

Your new role 

  • Establish and refine methods, procedures, and controls to manage claims operations in a cost‑effective manner

  • Identify, analyse, recommend, and implement process improvements, task redesigns, or structural changes to support operational goals

  • Support claims teams to achieve KPIs and meet contractual obligations throughout client transition periods

  • Coach and guide leaders and teams through change, with a strong focus on change management capability

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes

  • Assess current and future resourcing needs and support the Portfolio Manager with workforce planning

About you 

  • Previous experience in Personal Injury Claims management or similar insurance products

  • Proven experience leading established teams through periods of significant change or transition

  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift
