AMAZING PROJECT OPPORTUNITY

This is your chance to work on industry‑leading automation projects that truly challenge and excite. As a Project Engineer based in Belrose, you’ll join Dematic’s Lifecycle Services & Solutions Project Delivery Group and play a key role in delivering some of the most advanced material handling systems across ANZ.

In this hands‑on Project Engineer role, where you’ll be involved at every stage, from mechanical design and technical coordination through to installation, commissioning, and project delivery. Working alongside a talented team of engineers, project managers, sub-contractors and clients, you’ll help bring complex, high‑value automation solutions to life and shape the future of warehouse automation and integrated logistics.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Engage directly with clients and their teams, including architects and builders

  • Engage directly with Dematic’s Design & Estimation team to enhance the as sold solution into detailed drawings

  • Set projects up in Dematic’s systems and take care of revision tracking

  • Create detailed conveyor layouts and installation drawings for client’s approval

  • Generate and review works orders for Dematic’s factory to manufacture onsite at Belrose

  • Create specifications for purchased equipment and external services

  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date

  • Build positive, long‑term relationships with customers

  • Help engage and manage subcontractors in partnership with the Supervising Manager and Purchasing team, with clear expectations in place

  • Support effective resourcing by working with the Supervising Manager to clarify roles and responsibilities

  • Keep communication open and consistent across the Project Delivery team

  • Contribute clear and practical feedback once projects are complete through project debriefs

  • Look for smarter, safer ways of working and suggest improvements where you see them

  • Always work in line with Dematic’s safety and quality standards

Tasks and Qualifications:

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS  

  • Degree qualified: Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Knowledge of Material Handling Systems

  • Experience coordinating projects across building, architectural, and third-party design environments

  • Advanced AutoCAD designer skills

  • Experience with Motorcalc and Docreg software

  • Skilled in Microsoft Project for scheduling and delivery planning

  • Strong capability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience preparing technical documentation, including product and training manuals

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects

  • Developing commercial awareness and understanding of financial outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently in customer facing environments

  • Proactive, detail-focused, and continuously improvement minded
