Project Engineer

The Project Engineer applies engineering skills to solve complex problems, using knowledge of Ecolab's customers and markets. He or she schedules and helps to coordinate innovative, complex projects to meet cost and time objectives, complying with design criteria and standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead SUM Activities: Oversee all aspects of qualification, validation, and start-up management for capital projects, from project charter through commissioning and qualification. Transition equipment and process ownership to operations to ensure sustainable long-term project results.

  • Includes items such as Safety Map, Product/Packaging Qualification, Product Transfers, Clean Inspect Lubricate/Centerline, Standard Operating Procedure, Skill Matrix, Training, Spare Parts Inventory, Preventative Maintenance.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the SUM team, including stakeholders from Quality, Reliability, Operations, Planning, RD&E, and Product Portfolio Management, providing hands-on support in navigating the engineering life cycle of equipment and manufacturing processes.

  • Project Integration: Ensure product requirements are built into the early scope and engineering design of capital projects. In your role, you will lead, oversee, and execute project initiatives, workstreams and plans, ensuring deliverables are completed in a timely and high-quality fashion.

  • Global Tech Transfer (GTT) Support: Support business insourcing and outsourcing of products, including gap assessments, management of change (MOC), and plant tests. Build internal and external understanding, buy-in and commitment to decisions through collaboration, and effective presentations skills.

  • Process Excellence: Drive the execution of FMEA, FAT, IQ/OQ, PQ and CQV processes to ensure robust project outcomes. Develop technical documentation, requirements specifications, testing protocols, summary reports, etc

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key metrics such as OEE, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in qualification, validation, and start-up management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, quality, or manufacturing environments (capital projects or process industries preferred).

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in an engineering discipline

  • Strong knowledge of qualification/validation methodologies (FMEA, FAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, CQV)

  • Experience in GMP for regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics, and chemical

  • Experience with Global Tech Transfers (GTT) and product insourcing/outsourcing

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $85,900.00 - $128,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
