Departmental positioning
The job of Project Engineer Co-Development (PE CoDev) is situated in the department Global Technology, Engineering & Launch (GTEL) CoDev. This department facilitates the introduction of new molecules in the Puurs site. CoDev works together with the S2F2 (pilot plant), Aseptic commercial manufacturing, analytical and chemical labs, material supply and different R&D departments within Pfizer. CoDev coordinates the introduction of new molecules from lab development work until launch and supports a broad portfolio of innovative (mRNA) vaccines, ADC's, biologicals and small molecules. Our department forms the bridge between R&D development activities and the manufacturing process in commercial plants.

Tasks
The PE CoDev plays a central role in process design and project management during the introduction of new molecules. The PE CoDev is strongly involved in the development of a robust process, responsible for follow-up of the first clinical batches and timely delivery of these batches to the clinical study units.
Key responsibilites are:
Coordinates activities related to the introduction of new products, going from preparational activities, to clinical manufacturing and release and shipment of clinical material
Understands and links both R&D related and commercial manufacturing related activities
Participates in process design and implementation for new processes
Ensures alignment across the departments within Puurs and acts as a spokesperson to the global Co-Dev teams for the various production departments
Point of contact for the supporting departments within Puurs and the global Co-Dev teams to introduce the new molecules into the Puurs plant.
Plans and monitors the milestones of the clinical campaign. Drives the release and shipment of clinical material
Skillset & Competences
Strong communicator, needs to collaborate with global Pfizer organizations
Project management & project engineering skills, able to work in multidisciplinary teams and be the central point of contact / coordinate all activities in the Pfizer Puurs site
Flexible, can thrive in a dynamic project environment with changing schedules
Can think both high level/strategic and at the same time be hands-on when needed
High sense of personal ownership of deliverables and project timeline
Willing to understand the end-to-end aseptic manufacturing process and represent knowledge to multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
PHD, Master or Bachelor in a relevant scientific discipline (industrial engineer, civil engineer, biological engineer, (industry)pharmacist) or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong technical writing skills
Fluent written and oral knowledge of English.
Fluent in standard PC applications

De Pfizer site in Puurs is één van de grootste productie- en verpakkingssites van Pfizer wereldwijd, gespecialiseerd in aseptische productie en verpakking. Jaarlijks worden in Puurs meer dan 400 miljoen doses injecteerbare vaccins en medicijnen geproduceerd.
