Key Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator represents WVDF and is primarily responsible for the quality, timely and effective implementation, integration, contextualization, monitoring and reporting of WVDF – Pro Futuro Digital Education Project in partnership with the Department of Education at the community level in Batangas. S/He uses the principles, processes, standards and tools of digital education to ensure the WVDF and Pro Futuro intervention contribute to improving children learning outcomes through digital education. 

Major Responsibilities:

Oversee Training, Equipment use and partner teachers’ roles and responsibilities. 

  • Conduct initial and reinforcement trainings for the teachers.
  • Conduct follow up programmed training to provide support and address project issues and concerns. 
  • Track teachers’ performance in the use of digital platform and equipment.
  • Provide assistance to formal school teachers, ALS learning facilitators and other DepEd staff in using and administering the tools, instruments, modules and other tool kits to help enhance Basic Education Services at the school.
  • Provide DepEd Central Office and Division and District offices with regular reports, updates, as well as requested data and information, that could help provide inputs to digital education programming in the partnership.
  • Identify with teachers the way to link up the School plan (including the national curricula) and ProFuturo education offer.

Provision of technical support to the partner school within project impact areas, gather and dispense needed information and updates. 

  • Ensure effective consultation and feedback sessions with the school principal and the equipment custodian to track project progress and possible challenges on equipment use and the alignment of learning content to the school curricula.
  • Conduct periodic review of the condition of the equipments to ensure its quality standards are met based on the equipment quality assurance guidelines. 
  • Co – lead in the development of monitoring system based on WVDF – Pro Futuro Project guideline on the maintenance and care of the equipment in close coordination with the school heads.
  • Lead the provision of the user id in the platform.
  • Facilitate the connectivity of the equipment of each school, via USB devices and/or via other available means of connectivity, for purposes of receiving possible updates to the Platform and Contents.
  • Facilitate the automatic reporting process for information relating to the use of the educational Equipment and Contents and carrying out remote support actions, on the terms defined for the Project.
  • Monitor project progress and conduct timely assessments amongst the teachers and students to identify pressing issues relative to the project.
  • Closely monitor and evaluate the Project with the assistance of DepEd and the Schools.
  • Furnish regular report and updates to ProFuturo on the Programmes, Projects and initiatives relevant to this partnership agreement. The cost equivalent of the activities shall be reflected in the report.

Coordination with ProFuturo Lead Project Coordinator and Technical Team for feedback and Remote Support.

  • Provide regular comprehensive project documentation, plans and report on the progress of the Digital Education Initiative based on Pro Futuro’s schedule.
  • Coordinate with Pro -Futuro technical support team prior to performing any system updates or solving technical incidence.
  • Notify Pro -Futuro technical support team for incidents that cannot be resolved.
  • Attend periodic on line and face to face meeting with ProFuturo.
  • Participates to team meetings and other activities.
  • Attends to staff development activities as planned.
  • Complies with WVDF policies and standards i.e. finance, P&C, etc.
  • Performs other tasks as maybe relevant to the implementation of programs in her/his assigned areas including NRD or Grants acquisition related.

Report to Lead Coordinator the progress of the teachers using ProFuturo resources.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Education, Developmental Studies, or other related Social Sciences.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in academic IT-related program or project management for an NGO.
  • Experience working with local governments, line agencies, churches, and other organizations.
  • Experience in facilitating digital education workshops and children’s activities.
  • Knowledge of digital education curriculum and classroom activity design.
  • Experience in planning and developing interactive digital platforms (including forums) for learning, information sharing, and knowledge dissemination.
  • Experience in designing and updating websites.
  • Experience in creating and publishing social media content.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating webinars.
  • Experience in integrating social networking and digital content with face-to-face events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Some experience in e-learning or learning-based digital communications (desirable).
  • Strong communication, networking, alliance-building, and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Education K–12 and Digital Education Program.
  • Proficient in MS Office software and capable of using technology in program management.
