An opportunity for an Program/Project Controller has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).  As a Program/Project Controller, you will be a vital part in the Finance community and the project organization. As a challenging Business Partner, you will contribute substantially to managing the profit & loss of the project. You will gather and provide data to enable educated decision making on management level and give visibility about performance vs. targets. You will highlight and analyze discrepancies and propose actions to optimize financial and operational performance. To do so, you will collaborate and challenge your business partners from all directorates (e.g. Project Organization, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales and other Finance departments).  Moreover, you will support key change decisions in the project (business cases, rate adaptation, major modifications etc.). You will as well manage the financial aspects of the project contracts including cash, risk and opportunity management. During bid phases, you will be in charge of all financial aspects in contractual amendments and the acquisition of additional orders while meeting the required profitability targets.

Being a Program/Project Controller requires a robust business understanding, a feeling for numbers and solid social skills to be able to manage your stakeholders in adversity towards the best business decisions for the company. The role is challenging in its complexity and has to be undertaken by somebody who is capable to understand the people, the product and the numbers. You will work with the project team and be embedded in the Finance community. A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, persistence, and assertiveness are required to master this business partnering role.

Your Project Controller/ role will be in the Earth Obervation and Space Exporation projects ( EOS + Launchers Bunsiness)

With your work, you will contribute to the successful completion of this challenging project.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent

  • A least 3 years of experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire sound skills and knowledge of:

    • Finance

    • Project Management

    • R&O

  • Excellent financial skills and the ability to persuade, influence, collaborate and convince

  • Experience of working in a matrix environment with proven record of successful stakeholder management

  • Able to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks

  • Excellent skills in relationship building, team building, collaborate across functions, empowering, motivating others and conflict management

  • High level of English
