Project Buyer (M/F/D)

Valeo is an automotive supplier and partner to automakers worldwide. As a technology company, we design innovative solutions for smart mobility, with a particular focus on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. The Group also provides and distributes spare parts for automakers and independent aftermarket operators.

Your challenges:

• Lead the sourcing process as a member of the project team

• Define sourcing strategy by region in alignment with the business plan

• Manage global BOM costs by region

• Participate in project meetings and activities such as project reviews, sourcing plans, Technical Steering Committee, and Project Management Committee

• Collaborate with the Segment Leader or Group Segment Director at appropriate stages to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategies compliant with the Group Segment Strategy

• Coordinate S-VRF definition and plan supplier design reviews to:

• Ensure suppliers fully understand requirements

• Capture improvement proposals

• Obtain supplier acceptance of Valeo requirements

• Enhance competition while maintaining equivalent scope

• Define and control communication flows and content between project teams and suppliers

• Monitor and forecast the project purchasing index and lead productivity improvement initiatives

Requirements:
 

• At least 2 years of experience in B2B purchasing and negotiations, preferably in a production company, ideally within the automotive sector

• Good communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Multitasking ability, teamwork spirit, and result-oriented mindset

• English language proficiency enabling fluent and effective communication
