Job Scope: Generally responsible for developing bid packages, submitting Request for Quote (RFQ), evaluating commercial proposals, and awarding purchase orders. Responsibilities could also include expediting of vendor data and equipment in support of various projects. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Familiarity with and utilization of department standards.
Familiarity with the execution of heavy industrial projects including chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing.
Interpreting project scopes, statements of work and project schedules.
Developing procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various projects.
Mentoring less experienced Procurement Teammates.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced coursework is highly preferred.
Certification: No certification is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires1+ years of experience in providing administrative support, preferably in an industrial engineering environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and application of company standards.
Ability to organize effectively and execute contracts.
Ability to learn and understand contract language and commercial terms and conditions.
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to learn to effectively negotiate contract conditions with suppliers and/or contractors.
Working knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).
Complete knowledge and understanding of payment terms. Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
