Summary:

The Programmer Analyst will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions that support value-based care initiatives. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to gather requirements in order to develop, test, and maintain data sets, reports, and integrations between Workday and other systems. The ideal candidate will use software development and programming skills to design, implement, and document complex ETL processes that enhance operational workflows. Collaboration with human resources, payroll, supply chain, finance, clinical and research teams is necessary to develop understanding of business processes and ensure data integrity and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to comprehend documentation, research, learn and apply new technical and development skills in a fast paced, evolving field.

Salary range for this position is $78,126 - $99,056 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation based on experience in healthcare programming. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
2. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience.  

NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Relational database experience (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB or MS SQL Server) is required. Candidate must be able to develop complex data queries in SQL with minimal guidance and should be familiar with a high-level dynamic programming language, such as PHP or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing ETL processes using APIs, common data exchange formats and/or ETL frameworks. Preferred candidates would have experience with Workday (integrations, advanced report writing and/or security administration), developing with PHP and/or providing tier 3 application support. Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are advantageous.
