An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join the UK team based in Bristol.

The Defence Strategic Operations team is accountable for the development and execution of the footprint and capability strategy for Manufacturing, Assembly and Test activities both on site in Bristol and for our deployed activities. The team deliver significant advantage through optimising operational footprint and the introduction of new capability and technology, creating a platform for growth through alignment with Future Programmes and Defence Business Strategy.

What you will be doing:

In this role you will be accountable for successful delivery of programme / contract commitments as well as providing programme management support to business development activities. You will also;

  • Execute the developed strategy on behalf of the Programme Executive to meet identified and anticipated customer requirements.
  • Be accountable for delivering the assigned packages of work to budget, schedule and requirements.
  • Ensure all programme activities are delivered with account of the full project and product lifecycle and in line with company standard processes.
  • Responsible for providing accurate information to gain commitment, funding and resources to deliver the programme of work.
  • Accountable for stakeholder management and act as key interface with external customers and suppliers
  • Liaising with the various internal functions, supply chain units and departments to ensure all required resource demands are met.

  • A proven track record in programme management
  • Experience in connecting with different levels of management and influencing senior external and internal stakeholders
  • Problem solving and implementing business process improvements
  • Sound understanding of and ability to interpret schedule, resource and financial data
  • Strong strategic, conceptual and innovative thinking
  • Inherent business and commercial acumen

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Level C.

To work for Rolls-Royce in this role an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
