About the Role:
The Raytheon UK Advanced Products team has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and confident new team member to provide direction and management of a high performing Integrated Project Team.
Working within the APNT team, as part of the wider Advanced Products business unit, the successful candidate will execute and support a range of technically challenging high-profile projects. Establishing and growing effective relationships with both new and existing customers.
Success will require customer focused innovative thinking, forward planning, strong communication and an ability to react quickly to changes. As a valuable member of the APNT team this Project Management role is pivotal in identifying and securing new opportunities, working collaboratively with the wider company and creating an inclusive environment for the team to grow. As part of the day-to-day activities the role requires delivery of projects, ensuring on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, and high-quality deliverables, as well as providing support and guidance to junior Project Managers to aid them in delivering against their challenging targets and goals. A key benefit of this role is you will have the opportunity to visit customers and suppliers both nationally and internationally.

Essential:
Degree qualified in a technical, manufacturing or project management related discipline, or with equivalent non-academic experience. A recognized project management qualification is highly desirable.
Experienced Programme Manager with a successful track record in setting up and executing complex projects to schedule, budget and quality with P&L accountability.
Demonstrated expertise in managing issues while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
Effective scope management and ability to understand and execute to customer requirements.
Ability to make decisions and develop corrective actions based on interpretation of available project performance data and metrics.
Experience in project financial management and reporting, ensuring a complete and accurate view is available on request.
Experience in providing leadership and direction to multi-disciplined teams.
Risk and Opportunity management, knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk and opportunity management techniques and tools.
Desirable:
Experience of working in relevant domains
Supportive, with the character to navigate sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges.
Experience in managing multiple programs and Project Managers.
Experience in capture and proposal management with a track record of preparing and submitting winning proposals.
Effective stakeholder management including both customer interfacing and presenting to senior management.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to influence, persuade, lead and motivate teams, and produce / deliver reporting to; customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, at all levels.
Innovative and proactive problem solver – Anticipates and plans to mitigate risks.
Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding.
Able to manage and work within agreed budgets, forecast cost to complete

37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement or site-specific arrangements.
