The world is rebuilding its internet and power infrastructure, accelerated by demand from AI and the shift to renewables. The utilities, internet companies, and contractors tasked with this work are struggling to meet this demand.

We’re building the AI-native operating system to help these companies build faster. Clad unifies operations and finance to automate project tracking, payments, and permitting. 

With Clad, contractors grow faster and improve their margins. Operators execute smoothly. And everyone can focus on what’s most important - building.

We’re a small team of 5 in-person in NYC. We have >$1M ARR, raised $2.7M and have years of runway.

About the Role

We are looking for our first business hire.

You will own all post-sales and internal operations. Specifically, you’ll own

  1. Implementation - Ensure our customers adopt Clad and get meaningful value from the product
  2. Customer Success - Make sure our customers renew - own customer success and account management
  3. Internal Ops - Own RevOps, Accounting, Sales Enablement, Marketing, etc. (specifics will vary based on your strengths and interests)

This is not a normal operations or customer success role. 

You’ll work hands-on with customers every day to help them get the most out of Clad. You’ll define the strategy and playbook to reliably deliver a great experience, and you’ll design the processes we need to scale.

  2. Grit - A lot of the role will be execution-oriented. You are detail-oriented and willing to do the hard work that needs to get done, even if it isn’t always easy or glamorous. 
  3. Earnestness - We believe that deeply caring about your work, and trying your hardest, is a fundamental requirement for success.
  4. Lightly Technical - To do your job the best, you’ll need to be comfortable picking up tools to automate your workloads. This can be editing a database with SQL, writing a Python script, or vibe-coding mini internal apps.
  5. Product & Business Sense - You’ll be interacting with customers all the time. You should be consultative and smart - able to deeply understand peoples’ needs and figure out how to solve them.
