About the Role
As Program Manager you are part of the Business Operations Team for Value Management.
As Value Management is of high importance to ensure viable business results you are leading the implementation of Value Management Measures for a dedicated set of programs for a specific customer or a group of customers.
You are part of a cross-functional team to implement Value Management Measures to agreed targets while managing launch risk and change management process through launch and into stable production. This role is mainly managing post-SOP programs.
Together with Account Management you are managing the customer interface.
The defined (Post-SOP)-Team 1 is your core team responsible for development and implementation of Value Management Measure that meets Value Management (VM) Goals while keeping customer satisfaction.
The purpose of Team 1 is to deliver the product in accordance with Value Management milestones into stable production and to meet cost saving targets. The Team1 consists of sales, design, product sourcing, manufacturing and quality roles and is led by the Program Manager.
Your Team:
This role has no subordinates.
What You Will Do
Act in a team to develop and implement Value Management Measures.
Close alignment on targets with Value Management Organization.
Drive the VM implementation of the program as overall program responsible.
Responsible to deliver the product according to agreed VM-measures.
Balance triple constraint of cost, timing and quality performance to VM objectives.
Manage changes and program risk while executing the VM measure implementation and launch process, Supervise Scope Management (internal / external CCBs).
Active support of Value Management Organization with respect to measure idea creation, process definition and continuous improvement.
Top level planning and controlling w/r to schedule and budget.
Close technical alignment with functional departments.
Reporting towards customer and internally incl. management board (CEO-level).
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (E/E Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)(IT connected) specializations.
Bachelor of Science in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years product development and/or program management experience with specific experience in at least one area of technical specialization (software, hardware, mechanical or manufacturing) preferably in an automotive application.
Developed and launched at least 1 product through the lifecycle from business commitment through stable production.
Expected general skills includes, but not limited to, cross functional and international team leadership, arbitrate technical tradeoffs, problem solving, negotiation, P&L understanding and communication skills.
Fundamental knowledge in terms of methodologies in project management
Ability to mediate between conflict parties and to work under pressure.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Bonus Points if You Have
Experience with infotainment systems.
Experience in automotive industry.
Master of Science, Technical or MBA, PMP Certification.
Automotive supplier, Tier1 Electronics background, Direct experience with applicable customer.
