Job Title: Product Designer (Aluminum Window Systems, 3D Modelling)

A Day in the Life:

-Design and model aluminum window, door, and curtain wall systems using Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD.
-Produce detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation layouts.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility.
-Interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and building specifications.
-Create accurate 3D assemblies, part models, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
-Optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and structural performance.
-Ensure that all product designs follow building codes, material standards, and project requirements.
-Participate in design reviews and assist with technical problem-solving during project execution.
-Update drawings and models based on client feedback and site conditions.

What You Bring:

-Previous experience designing aluminum window or glazing systems; previous experience with curtainwall, storefront systems or commercial glazing considered an asset.
-Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and/or Autodesk Revit; strong drafting skills in AutoCAD.
-Knowledge of aluminum profiles, hardware, thermal breaks, seals, and accessories; ability to read technical drawings.
-Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; ability to work independently and in team environments.
-Familiarity with industry standards (AAMA, CSA, ASTM, etc.).
-Experience producing fabrication-ready models for CNC machinery.
Background in mechanical design, architectural technology, or related field.
