ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Open House is a place where people are given the chance to reset their path and rebuild their lives with dignity and support. The program provides safe and structured accommodation for participants on bail and offers a genuine opportunity for change. This role sits at the heart of that mission. It is a chance to lead a team that walks alongside people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives and helps them move toward stability, safety and hope.
If you are motivated by purpose, committed to justice and passionate about leading services that genuinely transform lives, this is a role where your leadership will matter every single day.
As the Program Manager, you will oversee the Open House bail supported accommodation programs across both the Men’s and Women’s sites in Alice Springs. You will guide and support your team to deliver safe, high quality and person-centred services that help participants meet their bail conditions and move toward independence.
This role calls for someone who understands the justice system and can work through a therapeutic and rehabilitation focused lens. You will create an environment that encourages growth, builds confidence and supports people to make meaningful change. The work is grounded in respect, compassion and the belief that every person has the capacity to move forward when given the right support.
You will work closely with the Department of Corrections and other key partners and ensure that service delivery aligns with best practice, program guidelines and The Salvation Army’s mission and values. You will also build a culture where your team feels steady, encouraged and empowered to deliver their best work.
