Join us in leading our 3-Year CPA Rotational Leadership Program, hiring new grads, and building the future leaders of tomorrow.
The Program Manager, CPA Leadership Program goes beyond traditional program management - it's an opportunity to influence the future of finance talent, shape career-defining experiences, and drive alignment with CPA Ontario’s new competency map and Sun Life’s strategic priorities and professional standards of excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, from recruitment and selection to curriculum development, participant support, and alumni engagement.
What will you do?
Program Design and Operations:
Analyze current program and compare against upcoming CPA Ontario competency map changes and re-design program accordingly
Design and update curriculum in collaboration with subject matter experts
Coordinate with various finance departments to secure meaningful rotations; ensuring assignments align with program objectives and participants' career goals
Implement best practices in leadership development, experiential learning, and rotation transitions
Participant Experience & Development
Manage annual recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
Design a holistic learning journey encompassing rotations, technical development, and leadership capability
Monitor participants' progress and provide guidance throughout the program
Facilitate mentorship and coaching opportunities
Create engaging workshops and developmental experiences
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure program alignment with organizational goals
Build trusted relationships with finance executives, rotation managers/mentors, and HR partners
Partner with CPA Ontario to manage candidate enrollment and compliance
Report on program outcomes and ROI to program sponsor
Alumni Engagement
Develop and implement strategies to maintain strong connections with program alumni
Organize networking events and continuous learning opportunities for graduates
Leverage alumni expertise for mentoring current participants
Program Evaluation and Improvement
Regularly assess program effectiveness through participant feedback and performance metrics
Leverage data and insights to evaluate program success and shape future talent strategies
Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate relevant updates into the program
What do you need to succeed?
Masters or Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, human resource, adult learning, or related field
Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles; CPA designation is an asset
Proven strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills
Passion for coaching and mentoring early-career professionals
Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
5+ years' experience in finance, learning & development, or talent program management
Experience in the insurance industry or large financial institutions is an asset
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Teams, Copilot, and PowerPoint) and learning management systems

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
