About AirAsia MOVE

AirAsia MOVE is a dynamic ASEAN-focused budget travel platform redefining how people experience and book travel. As part of Capital A, we’re building products that span flights, hotels, e-hailing, experiences, payments, and more—powered by a tech-first mindset and a relentless focus on customer experience. Join us in shaping the digital future of travel across the region.

About the Role

The Program Manager (PMg) is responsible for front-facing execution across complex, cross-functional technology programs at MOVE. This role ensures predictable delivery, strong execution discipline, and clear visibility for leadership across priorities, dependencies, and outcomes.

The PMg acts as the single-threaded owner of execution, working closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Design, Business, and Analytics to drive alignment, accountability, and results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Execution & Visibility

  • Front-face end-to-end execution for assigned programs and initiatives.

  • Present a consolidated, leadership-ready view of execution status, risks, dependencies, and timelines.

  • Ensure clarity on scope, milestones, and delivery commitments across teams.

2. Cross-Functional Alignment & Accountability

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, and Business to gather requirements and define execution plans.

  • Drive shared understanding of ownership, timelines, and success criteria.

  • Hold stakeholders accountable for commitments while enabling teams to deliver effectively.

3. Complex Program Ownership

  • Lead programs with broad dependencies across multiple teams or functions.

  • Own and maintain the program plan / Gantt, including sequencing, dependencies, and critical paths.

  • Run execution cadence including standups, syncs, and dependency tracking.

  • Proactively identify and resolve risks, blockers, and execution bottlenecks.

4. Execution Rituals & Reporting

  • Own execution rituals with senior leadership (weekly reviews, monthly business reviews, milestone checkpoints).

  • Provide structured, concise reporting on progress, risks, and trade-offs.

  • Define and implement flow and execution metrics (predictability, throughput, cycle time, delivery health).

5. Engineering Effort & ROI Tracking

  • Maintain book-keeping of engineering effort across programs and initiatives.

  • Partner with Product, Business, and Analytics to assess efficacy, ROI, and impact of engineering investments.

  • Highlight areas of inefficiency, over-investment, or execution drag and propose course correction.

6. Change & Priority Management

  • Own the change management system for programs.

  • Enable leadership to make informed decisions on priority or scope changes.

  • Clearly articulate impact of changes on timelines, capacity, dependencies, and outcomes.

  • Ensure changes are communicated and absorbed cleanly across teams.

What Success Looks Like

  • Leadership has high confidence and visibility into execution.

  • Teams experience less chaos, clearer priorities, and fewer last-minute surprises.

  • Cross-team dependencies are managed proactively, not reactively.

  • Engineering effort is aligned to measurable business outcomes.

  • Execution becomes predictable, transparent, and scalable.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6–10 years of total professional experience, with at least 4–6 years in Program Management, Technical Program Management, Delivery, or Engineering roles.

  • Strong experience driving execution across multi-team, cross-functional technology programs.

  • Comfortable working with senior engineering, product, and business stakeholders, with clear leadership reporting exposure.

  • Solid understanding of Agile environments and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Proven ability to manage dependencies, risks, timelines, and execution plans across complex initiatives.

  • Structured thinker with a bias for clarity, ownership, and measurable outcomes.

  • Able to balance execution rigor with pragmatism in fast-moving environments.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

Why Join AirAsia MOVE?

  • Drive the core systems that power one of ASEAN’s most ambitious travel platforms.

  • Be part of a high-impact, engineering-led transformation with regional scale.

  • Collaborate with top engineering leaders across backend, product, and DevOps.

  • Enjoy high ownership, fast iteration cycles, and visibility across the org.

  • Regional travel perks and access to diverse verticals within Capital A.
