Job Description

The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, leads departmental recruitment efforts and coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of departmental programs, including outreach and program communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and supports recruitment and outreach efforts for departmental programs, partnering with faculty and staff to plan and implement initiatives

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students

  • Supports student recruitment through on-campus and off-campus events, conferences, tours, and outreach activities; occasional travel will be required

  • Coordinates ongoing outreach and correspondence with prospective, current, and former students, faculty, staff, advisors, and partners

  • Coordinates program communications and marketing efforts, including website content, directories, newsletters, digital signage, and social media platforms

  • Maintains and updates departmental websites and assists with creation and distribution of digital and print communications

  • Assists with development of marketing materials such as flyers, graphics, and social media content

  • Supports scholarship coordination

  • Maintains program records, databases, and listservs related to students, alumni, faculty, and staff

  • Collects, tracks, compiles, and maintains data related to recruitment, enrollment, internships, placements, scholarships, surveys, and other program outcomes

  • Provides logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, orientations, seminars, and events

  • Provides backup administrative and operational support as needed and assists with coordination of student workers

  • Provides general program support as needed and performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including digital communication platforms

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
