JOB PURPOSE:

Coordinates the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and functions of the HPS Center for Financial Excellence to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. This position will report to the Associate Director of Operations.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

Internal contacts generally include administrators, faculty, students, and staff. External contacts generally include vendors, consultants, visitors, and the public.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Internal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff and students both within the department and University-wide. External contacts include government agencies, sponsor representatives, vendors, visitors, officials and the public.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinates all aspects of the Center’s program tracks, including recruitment, placement, orientation, and evaluation.
  • Works closely with the Associate Director of Operations and exercises independent judgement in the identification and facilitation of workshops, skills-based career trainings and certifications.
  • Provides career guidance to students, assisting them in identifying suitable internship opportunities based on their academic interests and career goals.
  • Coordinate activities of the Center with interrelated activities of other programs to ensure optimum efficiency of services.
  • Monitors and assesses the progress and quality of internships, collecting feedback from students, employers, and faculty to enhance the overall experience.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a tracking system to collect career-related post-graduation early career data of the Center’s program participants. M.
  • Market and execute Center related workshops, meetings or conferences, coordinate logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the Center’s website and social media presence.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to serve as chaperone to on-site and off-site student events and trips.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or five (5) years of professional experience in the finance services industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Work Day database experience; familiarity with event planning strongly preferred.
