Job Summary: NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. This position is located in Federal/State Partnership, (FSP) serves as a link between NEH and the nationwide network of fifty-six humanities councils, located in each state. Through NEH grants and other funding, each council supports humanities programs that encourage the understanding/appreciation of the humanities by the U.S. citizens.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. At the GS-11 level Qualified candidates must possess: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level or equivalent experience. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, for example: (1) Performing qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative programs; (2) Serving as a liaison between the agency and the state humanities councils regarding the development and sharing of electronic information and online procedures; (3) Performing detailed compilation and analysis of financial data to identify trends, weaknesses, and areas of noncompliance; (4) Facilitating workflow processes and administering operational procedures to support organizational activities. or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related As part of the online application process you will need to respond to a series of questions designed to assess your possession of the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies: Accountability Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reading Comprehension Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork
