Job Summary: This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting a range of analyses using diverse methods and procedures to impact financial and accounting systems. They plan and execute analyses across various areas, focusing on work processes and operational practices with long-term effects on the Department of Defense (DoD). Salary information as follows: GS-11: $85, 447 - 111,087 GS-12: $102,415 - 133,142 GS-13: $121,785 - 158,322
Major Duties:
Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS-11, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service: Using established joint travel regulations and policies to answer routine travel questions. Gathering and compiling data from prescribed sources to support program analysis. Identifying and documenting straightforward discrepancies between data and established procedures; and 4) Communicating factual information to team members and supervisors. OR B. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) You may qualify at the GS -12, if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Applying established travel policies, regulations, or procedures to answer inquiries and provide guidance to stakeholders. Assisting in or conducting analyses of program data to identify trends and support recommendations for process improvements. Gathering and analyzing program data to monitor compliance and identify discrepancies for review; and 4) Working with team members and internal stakeholders to resolve routine policy questions or procedural issues. You may qualify at the GS -13, if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Analyzing and interpreting travel policies, regulations, or procedures to implement programs or provide guidance. Conducting research or special studies on program effectiveness, compliance, or efficiency to develop recommendations for leadership. Analyzing quantitative data to identify trends, compliance issues, or opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to develop, implement, or resolve issues related to policies and procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
