The Professional Services Veterinarian position is responsible for handling all field service veterinary medical professional needs, including advertising and promotional (A&P) review, providing detailed product information, pharmacovigilance (PV) support, educational presentations, and training and coaching of sales team on technical aspects of American Regent Animal Health products.
Candidate ideally located in central United States, including but not limited to: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cultivate an open, engaging, positive and expert communication attitude with every customer/veterinarian and employee interaction (internal and external stakeholders).
Respond to all veterinarian customer inquiries forwarded by field sales or overflow from Pharmacovigilance (PV) promptly and within prescribed guidelines.
Assist the field sales team with Q&As and/or in-clinic product education presentations upon request (may be in person or virtual as needed).
Present appropriate branded and/or educational materials designed for veterinary school audiences, veterinary clinic settings, regional veterinary continuing education (CE) events as well as for end-user audiences; schedule presentations throughout the year at the request of Field Sales and/or Marketing.
Attend continuing education events/conventions throughout the year in support of commercial business, providing team training and veterinarian-to-veterinarian education and consultation.
Provide new hire and ongoing Sales personnel product and competitive product training as needed.
Facilitate medical/educational content development and review in cooperation with Marketing needs to ensure medical accuracy, audience appropriateness and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Complete all assigned medical review for Programs & Grants Committee (PGC) and Product Material Review (PMR) on time within validated system.
Support Medical Affairs/R&D efforts to bring new products to market through evaluation of pipeline projects and support throughout drug lifecycle as requested.
Monitor veterinary industry publications, news, and events for potential impact on the Animal Health business.
Maintain and grow professional competency especially in fields directly related to American Regent Animal Health products.
Ensure regulatory compliance and medical soundness in all activities.
Provide monthly schedule of all travels and overview of previous month accomplishments. Manage calendar and field requests efficiently.

Education Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
DVM or VMD required with current licensure in at least one state. Board-certification a plus.
Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in equine and/or canine practice required. Experience with both equine and canine practice is preferred.
Prior experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.
Must possess a basic knowledge of the equine industry or willingness to learn.
Experience in or knowledge of pharmacovigilance desirable but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-starter, ability to multi-task, and enjoy working on a variety of projects.
Experience in sales or a teaching/training environment strongly desired.
Excellent computer skills Proficient is MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven public speaking proficiency to all manner and levels of audiences. Must be comfortable presenting in both in-person and virtual settings.
Passion to provide exemplary professional support to the veterinary community.
Valid US driver's license.
Travel required up to 50-70% of the time.
Expected Salary Range:
$130,000-155,000
