As a Mechanical Engineer working on a variety of projects in the EMEA/Gulf region, you will be responsible for designing, drafting, modeling and developing the mechanical systems under the supervision of technical lead or senior engineers whilst adhering to delivery standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed in line with company QA/QC procedures. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring safety, functionality, and efficiency in mechanical & plumbing designs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior engineers in engineering HVAC, Public Health (Plumbing) & Fire Protection calculations and simulations to determine the performance, reliability, and efficiency of mechanical systems under the guidance of technical lead.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary MEP services to manage project coordination on BIM platforms like REVIT, AutoCAD, Navisworks etc.

• Assist in preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, procedures, schedules, and reports.

• Ensure high quality design & drafting and timely delivery of submissions.

• Ensure all works have undergone proper QA/QC procedures for all projects.

• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary environments and collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Requirements for the Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or building services engineering.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience, with proven experience in a similar role working on a variety of projects.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably with experience in BIM software / platform such as REVIT, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud etc.

• Basic knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements, such as DM (Dubai Municipality), ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality), and UAE FIRE CODE.

• Working knowledge of relevant international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, BSRIA, SMACNA, DW, NFPA, IPC, BS EN etc.

• Good knowledge of working on REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu etc. for mark-ups, review, drafting and modelling exercises.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.

• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. 

• Experience, working on Large Scale Corporate Interior Projects / Fit outs will be an added advantage.
