PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Procurement Ops Professional supports Target India’s contingent staffing program by partnering with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of contractor and temporary staffing needs. The role involves sourcing, coordination, onboarding, and process compliance to ensure effective and efficient delivery of external resources in alignment with Target’s policies and standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffing Fulfillment
- Support end-to-end fulfillment of contingent staffing requirements through Target’s approved vendor network
- Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for contract resources in alignment with business needs
- Facilitate onboarding of contractors by ensuring completion of all required documentation and compliance steps.
- Track and report fulfillment status to stakeholders
Process and Procedure
- Follow and uphold standardized contingent staffing processes and policies
- Maintain accurate documentation for all stages of the contracting lifecycle
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying and escalating operational challenges
- Ensure adherence to defined service levels and turnaround times.
Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, service line leaders, and vendor partners to align on hiring priorities.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote teamwork and maintain transparency throughout the staffing cycle.
Partner and Relationship Management
- Liaise with vendor partners for day-to-day coordination of staffing requests and issue resolution.
- Support vendor performance tracking and provide input into periodic performance reviews.
- Escalate partner-related issues to the Senior Procurement Ops Professional as needed.
Corporate Governance and Compliance
- Ensure partner and contractor compliance with Target’s policies and legal/statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agreement and contractor repository.
- Support invoice validation and tracking of contractor payments and accruals.
- Follow documentation standards and confidentiality guidelines consistently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- 4–6 years of related experience in procurement, vendor management, or staffing operations.
- Strong organizational and client service skills.
- Good negotiation and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working within a team-based environment.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in the staffing industry or talent acquisition.
- Exposure to IT staffing or contingent workforce management.
- Understanding of basic contract terms and compliance requirements.
