Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a Production Test Technician 1 located at the Enhanced Production & Integration Center (EPIC) located in Madison, AL.

Job Description:

  • Perform incoming product evaluations, safely handle electrostatic sensitive devices, record test data, and document anomalies.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot units under test.
  • Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups.
  • Follow all program and site security requirements.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, committed to quality, and can work under limited supervision. The candidate must be able to work in a production environment within a multi-disciplinary team requiring clear communication and personal interaction. The candidate must also be willing to work a flexible work schedule to support production schedules which may include working extended shifts, weekends, and/or holidays, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • Associate degree in a STEM-related or Manufacturing field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • MS Office experience
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Proficient in testing and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with production/manufacturing environment to include awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
  • Understanding of Configuration Management (CM) and/or Mission Assurance (MA) concepts
  • Experience handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) data and Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment

Primary Level Salary Range: $41,300.00 - $68,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
