Role Summary:
This position will be organizing, planning, and coordinating plant shop floor activities on a particular work shift. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in assembling parts or assemblies into valves, applying knowledge of assembly process, tools, equipment, products, and production methods to build a valve. Reports to the production or manufacturing manager and provide them with the detailed information about the daily production, quality, sales and shipping. The machining and assembly process is generally a part of the manufacturing process and usually includes the assembling of specific parts of the product and making it ready for dispatching. Closely working with third party inspectors and customer inspectors to offer the valves for inspection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results.
- Establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Accountability and direction of all direct and indirect work force. This includes the following activities:
- Provides ongoing supervision and motivation to the production ·
- Builds, motivates and retains a team that consistently meets production deadlines ·
- Responsible for the health and safety of his directly reporting employees and for ensuring a harassment-free environment in the production.
- Continuously evaluates production performance and focuses on continuous improvement in areas of opportunity/non-compliance · Assures good housekeeping practices (5S) through auditing
Requirement:
- DME with 10 year Experience/ BE WITH 7 Years of Experience in relevant Valve industry.
- Knowledge in triple offset butterfly Valve assembly and testing
- Automation of Valves
- Manage day to day assembly activities
- Sound knowledge in manufacturing of Triple offset butterfly valves and related activities
- Detail orientated experience in assembly/testing and machining of valve components
- Supervision of Daily Production.
- Understanding of GAD and component drawing.
- Basic welding/machining knowledge is desirable.
- Anticipate potential problems and proactively solve the problems through creative thinking using internal & external resources.
- Experience in handling large size valves and cryogenic testing of valves
- Knowledge in API standards
