Production Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Lead by example in modeling the safety behaviors and attitude expected by Amentum.
  • Ensure employees comply with EHS policies and requirements by frequently visually verifying compliance. Immediately engage employee not in compliance.
  • Participate in injury management, incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Recognize employees for their work contributions regularly through informal and formal recognition.
  • Planning and assigning duties for personnel in each processing function and ensure fulfillment of production schedules in all areas.
  • By conducting cross training and to promote a team environment, ensure all employees can perform efficiently in all processing functions.
  • Ensure the flow of product into the various departments on a continual basis. 
  • Verify that all pallets are identified correctly by type, quantity, and lot number. 
  • Troubleshoot and forward any potential problems within the plant to the Plant Manager.
  • Assist with the proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant.
  • Review all safety guidelines, workplace safety policies and OSHA requirements with personnel.
  • Initiate and assist with personnel issues, including disciplinary actions, promotions, evaluations, and interviews.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of processing personnel.
  • Ensure product is processed in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Understand and implement established departmental goals and objectives.
  • Generate and prepare reports for management that detail departmental goals and objectives.
  • Communicate customer requirements, company policies and procedures, ethics philosophy, safety guidelines and OSHA requirements to employees and require compliance.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments to maximize overall flow and increase productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition. 
  • Occasionally assist in various material handling functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Computer proficiency required (MS Office preferred)

                       

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to four (4) years supervisory experience in a production or warehouse environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and leadership skills

       

Compensation Details:

$65,000-$75,000
