We are looking for our next “Transformer Core Cutting Production Supervisor” in Hitachi Energy at CMC Factory - Dilovası Kocaeli, who is eager to contribute the change with continuous improvement mindset and inspire people in the organization in order to reach the level of ‘’World Class Manufacturing ‘’ necessities with below qualifications.
How you will make impact:
Strong commitment to HSE/ Health Safety Environment safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines,
Execute the daily/weekly production plan, ensuring high-speed, automated, or semi-automated cutting machines (shears, slitters) meet production targets.
Ensure all cut core laminations comply with engineering, drawing, and specification tolerances (e.g., length, width, burr height) to maintain low transformer core losses.
Enforce EHS policies (LOTO, PPE, crane safety, machine guarding) and maintain a 5S workspace.
Maximize material utilization (steel yield) to reduce scrap, ensuring correct handling and storage of electrical steel.
Train, mentor, and supervise operators and helpers, including managing shift schedules, performance, and cross-training. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of core cutting machinery.
Track and report daily metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) and maintain accurate production logs.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.
Your background:
Graduate of Faculty of Technical Education & Technical Drawing from Vocational School or Associate degree in related department.
Min.5 years in a production supervisory role, preferably in a transformer, heavy engineering, or steel fabrication industry, transformers experience is an asset.
Understanding of CNC cutting machines, slitting lines, and electrical steel properties. Ability to mechanical drawings skill both read & draw (2D & 3D) & excellent user of MS Office Program & Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and nestings.
Collaborative and solutions‑oriented, with strong communication and analytical skills. Adaptable in fast‑paced environments and able to shift priorities quickly. A motivated team player with a continuous learning mindset. Skilled in team management, conflict resolution, and organizing/prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with ERP systems for tracking work orders and material. SAP knowledge is an asset,
Proficiency in English is considered an advantage.
