Position Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the Extruding Department to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This role supports a union workforce, ensuring compliance with plant policies, safety standards, and customer requirements. The supervisor collaborates with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement, maintain staffing, and meet operational goals.

*Shift: 11pm-7am Sunday-Friday with rotating weekends.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment through training, audits, and adherence to procedures.
  • Lead daily production activities to meet quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery targets.
  • Provide accurate shift handoff communication and update schedules and work assignments.
  • Identify safety or process risks and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with scheduling to align production with customer demand.
  • Complete required reporting, including production metrics, downtime, and logs.
  • Process hourly payroll, schedule changes, and attendance records.
  • Support performance documentation, coaching, and employee recognition.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent plus 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, production controls, and supply management.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with computer‑based data entry and reporting; SAP experience a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience supervising in a union environment.
  • Background supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work variable shifts or required overtime.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $72,000-$93,000.
