Job Description

You will direct the development of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost goals. Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. You will lead a team of over 40 employees on our second shift. You will plan and administer procedures and budgets. You will make budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. You will develop schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas. You will evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. You will work onsite from Mequon, WI on 2nd Shift. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will direct the development of production goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement.
  • Select and hire employees and provide ongoing performance monitoring. Evaluate employee performance and provide performance feedback. Demonstrate a commitment to employee development, beginning with self, as a means of ensuring our ongoing capacity to achieve team goals
  • Listen to and responding to employee concerns and issues, demonstrating integrity and under all circumstances and treating others honestly and fairly.
  • Establish and implement employee development programs and schedules, training and motivating team members in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of procedures. Provide leadership in the support of best practices and compliance to procedures and specifications
  • Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems. Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.
  • Lead during organizational change; take appropriate risks and encourage others to do so, thus promoting a culture that values risk-taking.
  • Maintain and enforce safe work practices while implementing company procedures concerning disciplinary policies.
  • Train teams in the philosophy of continuous improvement and waste reduction concepts.
  • Understand operating budgetary controls and manage departmental expenses to budget and according to business conditions.
  • Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement goals while integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain and ensuring adoption of best practices to achieve maximum efficiency

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Technology, or related) or Business (Management, Supply Chain, or related)
  • 1+ years of experience in management/engineering in an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working on 3rd Shift
